Our party package is also suitable for birthdays, teambuilding, or a special event with a difference. We will take you through the following: Movement We will introduce you to the different styles of burlesque movement. The art-form is a hybrid of jazz, ballet, cabaret and Eastern dance. We will teach you these styles, which have evolved through vaudeville, the cabarets of Berlin and Paris and the Broadway stage, giving you a taste of the different burlesque forms. Peeling You will learn the art of ‘peeling’, also known as striptease. We will introduce you to peeling off costumes in different styles in a sensuous and beautiful manner. Items to be taken off may include gloves, coats, scarves, skirts, and even bras. Don’t worry – no nudity required! Posing Ever thought, “I would love to pose like a 50’s pin-up”? Posing is not as easy as it looks! It is an integral part of burlesque. We will introduce you to the art of posing to accentuate your body (all your curves and lumps and bumps) in a manner that makes you feel like a million dollars! Teasing Teasing your audience is a burlesque must! We will introduce you to the art of seduction through the sensual art of teasing, including work with feather boas. Never showing too much, teasing toys with your audience. This will permit you to release that inner siren! Twirling & Tasselling Tassels make the world go round! Using techniques such as shimmying and bouncing, you will find you can make your tassels go like a pro – in one direction, opposite directions, one at a time! The art of the tassel twirl has a long and debauched history and is a highlight of any true burlesquer’s act! |
